You can't do commerce via facebook, you can't break down your business offerings into sections for easy-navigating and it's not the best platform to showcase your wares. My company uses facebook to update fans and clients on new projects and promotions - it's super-useful that way - but without a web presence to direct new people (ones who aren't our friends and family)our facebook would be fairly ineffective.
